HI Guys,
Ugh, in spite of the fact that it's only 4:30AM, I have to rush. This inspection shit and having to move Pumps around is a lot.
She did good yesterday. She was scared and had a hard day but she was happy to be home.
I had a hard time getting her to go back in her carrier when I picked her up last night so we'll see how it goes today.
I don't think the state inspectors came in to our unit yesterday so this could've been avoided but whatever. Better safe than sorry.
And they will for sure today. Not the state but the apartment management, for their inspection.
Just one more day.
I was going to get some things done last night but my sweet girl called me and we ended up getting something to eat and talking and sharing music we love and it was nice.
I know I needed it.
It's OK to say no to the list sometimes.
I'm going to copy and paste the FB status I posted this morning because I don't feel like writing it all out again.
"So my kiddo works at a bank and I had a potentially scary thing happen yesterday which she explained to me. It’s called a bin attack. Scam companies get a hold of a banks first 6 numbers for their debit cards. They are the same for each bank. Then they potentially hack a place you’ve made purchases from and get that basic info. Then they call you and say that they are the fraud department for your bank. Many banks outsource this and they used the correct name of the company that your banks uses so it sounds even more legit. What’s even scarier is that they then have a fake number that they register in the fraud companies name so if you google the number, it comes up as that company.
They told me someone was trying to make huge purchases in my card and they need to verify it.
Something didn’t feel right to me because they wanted the rest of my card number, the full expiration and my CVV code.
They really put the pressure on. I had given them only my expiration date and I said, “Something doesn’t feel right, I’m going to call my bank” and the guy started getting nasty. It ended up with me losing my shit and using some expletives that I’m rather proud of.
He was yelling back at me and swearing at me.
No fraud company would ever do this. I called my bank and sure enough, this has been happening like crazy.
They told me a couple things. Do not ever store your card number with a company online. It usually says something like “save card for future purchases?” Always choose no. A fraud company, a legit one, will never ask you for your account info. Always hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
Ask questions. I asked them for my address and they had my old one. My bank has my new one.
I was also told by someone I know to use credit cards instead if debit cards as its easier to get your money back from a credit card, then from your bank.
If anyone ever calls you, this sounds legit but just make it a rule to always hang up and call the number on the back of your card. Never, ever, give them any info."
Yeah, so that happened. People are scumbags. Protect yourself.
Honestly, I'm so tired, going on 4 hours the night before last and 5 last night. I'm just so tired.
So I'm going to sign off. Tomorrow's entry may be boring too, sorry about that. It's hard to concentrate when I'm this tired.
And I have to attempt to cut Pumps' nails.
So on that note, have a good day.
Be Blessed.
Love & Light,
Neecie
